A little background:
My parents named me Courtney due to it's Irish decent, only later to find out it originally was a male's name. Bill, my boyfriend, was named after both of his grandfathers. He is 27, and I was born on October 30, 1989, thus making me 19. In June of 2008 I graduated with an Honors Diploma. To my astonishment, all the money set aside for my schooling had been spent. So, I decided to to travel the world, and after several months of convincing Bill decided to come along with me. We quit our jobs, sold, donated and tossed all of our belonging and set out on this crazy adventure. Starting from Oregon, we left South towards California. Berkeley became our home for a week. After Berkeley we began our Journey East to New York City. A guy told us he would take me all the way there, yet ditched us in Wisconsin. Within a 24 hour period we were ditched, I was stabbed with a fishhook and lost my violin. Definitely not a fun day. Although, I have found, whenever something bad happens it is a precursor to a great experience. After this miserable 24 hour period, we met a woman whom took us into her home, fed us and partied with us.
On September 16, 2009 we shall arrive in Dublin, Ireland. This is where the real adventure will start.
On this site I will be posting tips and tricks about making money online, hitchhiking, budget backpacking and also information on my Journey. We will be traveling for many years and I will update this as often as I can.
